Guide to Cabopino

Posted on 21 December 2014

Cabopino

Cabopino can be found roughly halfway along the Costa del Sol, between Fuengirola and Marbella. It has some of the best beaches on the Costa Del Sol and a small but smart yachting port.

If you are based in Cabopino for your holiday then you will not be short of things to do or places to go.

To give yourself even more options why not consider to hire a car from Helle Hollis.

Cabopino Golf Course is an 18 hole course that also has a driving range, putting green, proshop and of course buggies.

If you head down to the port in Cabopino you will find a good selection of restaurants serving a whole range of food. On either side of the Port are some excellent beaches that offer good sandy areass and some safe swimming conditions. You can also pick up boat trips and fishing trips from within the port.

Along the beaches you will also find a variety of beach bars (Chiringuitos), which serve a variety of food including freshly caught fish and shell fish throughout the day. Another good beach is Funny Beach which you can find just outside Marbella. Funny Beach has a Go-Kart Track, water dodgems, trampolines and lots of other rides to keep the kids happy.

If you leave Cabopino and head west it will take you about five minutes to drive into the town of Marbella. Follow the road into the center of Marbella. Instead of driving around looking for parking just head for one of the many car parks.

Marbella is a modern, cosmopolitan town with most of the larger shops located on the main through road, Ricardo Soriano. There is also an “Old Town” area where the narrow, cobbled streets all lead up into Plaza Los Naranjos (Orange Square) which is also where the main Town Hall is.  Just outside Marbella you will find the big shopping center La Cañada.

If you have got kids then head in the other direction towards Fuengirola and Benalmadena where there is a good selection of Theme Parks, a the Bioparc Zoo and a large Water Park. The biggest and oldest park is Tivoli World which is in Benalmadena and opens until 2am over July and August.
