When is Halloween 2025 celebrated?
Halloween activities in Málaga will take place during the last week of October, with the night of Friday 31st October and Saturday 1st November being the main days of celebration.
However, it’s quite common to see shops and venues decorated for Halloween throughout the entire month of October.

During these days, you’ll find many areas of Málaga filled with Halloween decorations and various themed activities, including costume contests, parades and haunted houses.

Soho District (City Centre)
One of the most iconic neighbourhoods in the city centre is Soho. Known for its street art and vibrant culture, this area (just a two- minute walk from the Alameda Principal) becomes one of the main spots to experience Halloween.
The streets come alive with lights, themed decorations and creatively spooky shop displays that reflect the festive spirit of the district.
Muelle Uno (Málaga Port)

La Noche en Negro in Málaga’s Soho
Soho also hosts activities designed for children, such as the traditional Trick or Treat, kids’ games, the “Vote for your favourite Soho window display” contest and the much- loved family costume competition, where creativity and originality take centre stage.
This event, known as La Noche en Negro, brings together families and neighbours each year in a safe and festive environment filled with costumes, sweets and fun.
Although the 2025 programme hasn’t been released yet, it’s highly likely that Soho will once again be one of the must- visit spots to celebrate the spookiest night of the year in Málaga.
Children’s Activities at Muelle Uno
Families can enjoy in Muelle Uno the traditional Trick or Treat activity (one of the children’s favourites) which begins on the afternoon of 31st October, with more than 900 kilos of sweets distributed among the shops at the port.
There will also be a photo booth and costume contests for children and families, with categories such as scariest costume, most creative costume, and best group costume. Winners can earn prizes and experiences offered by Muelle Uno’s establishments.
Halloween Activities at the Botanical Garden
On Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th October in the morning, Málaga’s Botanical Garden will host various family-friendly Halloween activities, including a themed treasure hunt along the trails to “free the spirits”, a craft workshop and a photo booth to show off your costumes.

Theatrical Night Tour at the Botanical Garden
On Halloween night, visitors can join a theatrical night tour through the garden’s trails, where characters such as Dracula and the Exorcist girl roam in search of the plant of eternal life.
The event will feature sessions every 30 minutes from 7:00 pm, priced at €17 per person. Reservations can be made by calling the same numbers as above.

Candlelight: Halloween Classics
The Gran Hotel Miramar once again hosts the Candlelight: Halloween Classics concert this autumn: a unique musical experience illuminated by candlelight.

Performed by the Origen Quartet, the concert features iconic pieces such as Thriller, The Exorcist, Stranger Things and Ghostbusters.
Sessions will take place on Sunday 26th October at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm, lasting approximately 60 minutes. Advance booking is highly recommended, as tickets usually sell out quickly.
Polloween Horror Fest
The Polloween Horror Fest is a festival held at the Málaga National Digital Content Hub, dedicated to fantasy films, horror video games, makeup and rock music.
In previous editions, it has featured game showrooms, makeup workshops and screenings of short film finalists, making it a must-attend event for horror enthusiasts.
Although the 2025 edition has yet to be announced, it’s expected that the festival will return towards the end of October.
Horror film marathon
A Halloween classic is, of course, watching horror films. Throughout October, local cinemas will be screening several terror films releases, including Maleficio (The Osha Rule) (from 3rd October), Black Phone (from 24th October) and Chainsaw Man: The Movie (from 30th October).

Halloween in Arroyo de la Miel
In previous years, Arroyo de la Miel has celebrated Halloween with a haunted house experience in Plaza de la Mezquita. Visitors are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy the spooky decorations and festive atmosphere. The 2025 programme has not yet been confirmed.
Halloween at Selwo Marina and Selwo Aventura
From 13th October to 2nd November 2025, Selwo Marina (Benalmádena) and Selwo Aventura (Estepona) will celebrate Halloween with themed decorations, educational activities and a special promotion – free admission for children aged 3 to 7 who come in costume with a paying adult.

At Selwo Marina, educational talks will focus on debunking myths about animals such as snakes and bats, highlighting their importance in nature.
Meanwhile, Selwo Aventura offers an exciting journey through hanging bridges, the Night Cave and bird shows, along with workshops on “terrifying” species (a perfect plan for a fun, nature-filled family Halloween).
Halloween at Benalmádena Cable Car
From 13th October to 2nd November 2025, the Benalmádena Cable Car celebrates Halloween with a special promotion: children aged 3 to 7 who come in costume get free entry with a paying adult.
Visitors can enjoy beautifully decorated areas and breathtaking views from the top of Mount Calamorro perfect for capturing your best photos.
Halloween in Torremolinos
Traditionally, Torremolinos celebrates Halloween with children’s activities in Plaza de la Nogalera, while at night, clubs and bars host themed parties featuring costume contests and special décor.

Halloween in Fuengirola
