Visit the Nerja Museum at Plaza de España

In 2012 Nerja inaugurated its local museum centrally situated at Plaza de España, on the square of the municipal car park, next to Balcón de Europa.
The visit of the museum begins with a 15 min. multimedia show about Nerja, it’s surroundings and the local history. After that you will be led through 4 different themes amongst others archaeological pieces found in the Axarquia surroundings, how the different cultures lived in Nerja thousands of years ago and the great importance of the sea to Nerja. The visit will take you around 1 ½ hour and has many interactive effects for both children and adults.
If you combine the visit with the famous caves of Nerja you will get a 2 euro discount on the entrance. See more here about the museum.
