Guide to Almeria Airport
Posted on 21 December 2014Almeria Airport is the closest airport to the resorts and towns of Aguadulce, Roquetas de Mar, Mojacar, Vera and Nijar.
A large number of charter companies operate from Alemeria which is the forth most important airport in terms of tourist arrivals in Andalucia which means that although it is not an international airport it is well serviced and has good amenities.
From Almeria airports terminals you can proceed to collecting your luggage from the carousel and exiting the terminal, from which you can proceed to Almeria airport car rentals.
If you are taking a holiday to Almeria or a business trip and require a hire vehicle, then we can assist you with car hire to Almeria. Although Helle Hollis is not based in Almeria, we therefore recommend you that you pick up the rental car in Malaga and take the few hours drive to Almeria.
The terminal building is spread over three floors with arrivals, and cafeteria/bars on the ground floor. There is a fairly small arrivals hall with just four baggage reclaim carousels.
The departures hall is also on the ground floor; again it is fairly small with 17 check in desks.
Car parking is in front of the airport and you will get the first 20 minutes free of charge. After that rates are charged on an hourly basis.
The taxi rank and bus stop can be found outside the arrivals area. If you are planning to get the bus make sure you have some small change on you as the bus drivers will not change large denominations of currency.
