Getting to Nerja

You can get to Nerja by booking flights to either Granada or Malaga Airport. You could also fly into Almeria Airport but this would involve a drive from Almeria Airport to Nerja of some 155 kms once you have landed in Spain.

If you are flying into Malaga airport the distance to Nerja is around 60kms, however most other airports are at least 80+ kms away, and using a taxi could become very costly.  Helle Hollis car rental is placed at Malaga Airport and can help with car hire.  This  is a cost effective option to not only reaching Nerja from the airport, but also to having transport facilities throughout the duration of your holiday.

The nearest airport to Nerja is Malaga Airport; it is around 60 kms to the west of Nerja with an excellent road connection and an enormous number of flights.

If you are collecting a hire car from Helle Hollis at Malaga Airport then you need to follow the signs for the MA-20 (Malaga) from the Airport. You need to stay on the AP-7 as it heads east to Nerja. You exit the AP-7  (km 295) and follow the signs into the town center. This journey should take around 57 minutes and is a little over 60 kms.

There are no direct trains or buses from Malaga Airport to Nerja.
