Out and About with Helle Hollis – Carnival in Cadiz

The annual carnival in Cadiz takes this year place from the 7th to the 17th of February.

The whole city prepares the carnival months in advance and make a big effort in presenting new and colourful fantasy costumes. Cadiz is famous for its carnival and people from all over Spain come to join these festive days. The official competition of the carnival groups takes place in the Gran Teatro Falla but the real party takes place in the streets during day and night. Here you will see singing groups around in the streets and in the bars. There’s also a colourful parade and fireworks display taking place!

From Malaga airport it only takes about 3 hours to get to Cadiz city. Get into your Helle Hollis car and you will be on the road. Take a look at the official tourist board website for Cadiz to get more information.
