Posted on 18 December 2014Torremolinos was the original Costa Del Sol package holiday destination. Having provided holidays for people for over 40 years the area has grown to adapt to the needs of the modern holiday maker.
Located within a 10 minute drive from Malaga Airport Torremolinos is the perfect holiday destination for many tourists. Short flight times from the UK and northern Europe, quick transfers from the Airport and one of the best climates in Europe.

Torremolinos almost has two distinct sets of visitors, over the hectic summer months the younger set moves in and keeps the bars and discos busy until well into the night.
Over the winter months Torremolinos is the chosen holiday destination for a large number of older people who flock here for the warm winter sun.
The main through street in Torremolinos, Calle San Miguel, is a smart pedestrianised street that has a large number of shops and boutiques to keep you busy. At the end of Calle San Miguel you can take a flight of steps down to the beach and the old fishing district called El Bajondillo.
Most of the large Hotels and apartment blocks can be found in the beach area of Torremolinos. This area actually has some of the best beaches on the Costa Del Sol and many of them have been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag Award.
There is also a fantastic promenade that runs the length of Torremolinos with cafes and restaurants all trying to tempt you in with cool drinks and ice creams.
Torremolinos has also a beautiful Botanical Garden which is placed at the outskirts of Torremolinos. The Botanical Garden is called Molino del Inca and is next to the congress center.
If you want to keep the kids happy and they have had enough of the beaches then head for the Crocodile Park. Open 7 days per week the park offers guided tours and shows. There is next door a water park for entertainment.
You could also head into Benalmadena where you will find a number of other Theme Parks including, Selwo Marina, the cable cars and Tivoli World.
