Getting to Malaga

Driving time from the airport to Malaga City Centre takes about 20 minutes over a distance of 9.7 km.

Following are directions: From the roundabout at the Airport, follow the signs for Malaga MA-20.  After 7 km drive turn off for Av. de Andalucia/Malaga centro and after 2 km drive you will be in the center of Malaga.

Find a public parking house to park your hire car.  Next to the port, Muelle Uno, you will have several underground public parking houses. Or the nearest public car park is at Plaza La Marina which is next to the pedestrian Street Calle Larios.

If you are looking to visit nearby resorts such as Marbella or Estepona then having a car makes travelling that little easier.

If you are traveling further along the Costa del Sol coastline then remain on the N-340. The AP-7  motorway leading to the coast can also be taken. These roads extend down through Marbella, Estepona, Sotogrande as far as Gibraltar which is about a 90 minute drive.

With a hire car you get to see the real Spain, amazing views, lots of culture and tradition, and lots to do for the whole family.
