Exploring Salobrena

Posted on 21 December 2014

From Salobrena you can explore the whole of southern Spain or just stick around the little explored Costa Tropical.

Southern Spain is actually a vast area of land that includes both Andalucia and to a certain extent Murcia Province.

Salobrena

The main Andalucian cities that you can drive to from Salobrena are Malaga, Almeria, Seville, Granada, Cordoba and Cadiz. You can also easily reach towns such as Marbella, Jerez, Torremolinos, Estepona, Tarifa and the British enclave of Gibraltar.

Each of these wonderful Spanish Cities retains a certain charm and character that can only be found in this part of the world.

There are many stunning views to see in Salobrena, and using a hire car is a great way to explore and take in as many of the sights as possible.

Seville is about a three hour drive from Salobrena and is the capital of Andalucia. Seville is a wonderful, vibrant city that is safe to walk around and enjoys some of the mildest winters in Europe. It is also full of rich history and architecture and if you do have kids and visit over the summer months it has a huge Theme Park called Isla Magica which will keep you all busy for an entire day.

If you prefer to stay nearer to Salobrena then why not visit the towns and resorts along the Costa Tropical. Motril is the largest town on this coast and at the moment there is extensive work taking place on Motril Port which will allow larger vessels and ferries to operate in and out of the Costa Tropical. Even whilst the work is going on there are regular ferries between Spain and Morocco out of Motril.

You could and should also visit Almunecar, La Herradura, La Alpujarra and the wonderful Alhambra Palace at Granada.
