Guide to Alicante Airport

Alicante Airport is 15-20 minutes drive just 11 km south of Alicante.  The airport has 96 check in counters located in the same area.  You should though allow plenty of time before your departure because some of the smaller carriers only have one or two desks at the time of check in..

Car hire is available from Alicante Airport where you will have a big choice of suppliers to choose your car hire from.

There are two car parks with a total capacity of 1500 spaces. One is located opposite the terminal and the other next to it. If you are dropped off at the airport there is a large zone at the entrance to the terminal building. There are designated areas for disabled travellers and parking spaces in the car park opposite the airport. Passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline in advance.

Lost property offices are located on the ground floor. If your luggage does go missing there is a standard procedure of filling in a form (which is available in English) to let the ground staff know where you will be staying. A driver from Alicante Airport will normally deliver it to you the following day.

Facilities at Alicante Airport include a bureau de change, ATMs and post office. There are eight cafes and four restaurants located in the Costa Blanca Plaza shopping and entertainment centre. The airport has three duty free outlets and numerous shops including a newsagents, CD and video store and gift and jewellery sales. There is also a 24 hour first aid service and pharmacy available.
