Guide to Murcia Airport

To facilitate the large increase in air traffic and number of passengers, the airport terminal was expanded at Murcia-San Javier in 2004. Two new baggage reclaim carousels were installed with space for car hire firms .

Murcia Airport has 18 check-in desks  and around one million passageners in 2014.

As this is a smaller airport the shopping facilities are reduced but you can of course purchase duty free goods such as alcohol, tobacco and perfume.

Arrivals are handled on the ground floor where you an also find the local tourist office and car hire companies..

Banking facilities are available with a bureaux de change and ATM in the terminal building.

Other amenities include a restaurant and cafeteria, first aid centre and children’s play area.
