The celebration of the "Cruces de Mayo" (May Crosses) in Cordoba, from 26 April to 1 May, transforms the city into a springtime spectacle. During this event, wooden crosses decorated with flowers are raised in the most popular 'patios' and squares of the city's most popular neighbourhoods. Visitors can enjoy typical tapas and drinks at bars set up by local associations, while sevillanas music and nightly dances are played during the festivities. This tradition, which also coincides with the Battle of Flowers, offers a colourful and joyful view of Cordoba in May. They are both very important festivities that reflect the Andalusian culture in Cordoba.
