Malaga's Christmas lights are spectacular to see and have been named to be one of Europe's most beautiful by European Best Destinations.
The decoration theme this year is called " The Christmas Forest" where 22 arches have been set up at the pedestrian street Calle Larios. Each arch is over 12 meters high and beautifully decorated with symbols such as leaves, angels, suns and stars.

As every year, the Christmas lights in Malaga are switched on the last Friday in November. This year it will be Friday the 26th of November when hundreds of thousands of LED lights will be turned on. The Christmas lights can be seen until the 6th of January.
There are no specific times for the impressive light and sound show in order to avoid crowds of people gathering. The Malaga town hall has informed that the show will take place several times between 19h- 22h.
We can recommend the underground car park at Muelle Uno which has plenty and ample parking spaces. If you wish to avoid the hassle to find a parking space then another alternative is to take the local train to Malaga. The time table can be checked at Renfe Cercanias website. You can park your car at the shopping center Plaza Mayor or next to Tivoli in Arroyo de la Miel. In both places there is free parking relatively close to the train station.
