In this festival, Cordoba’s homeowners open the 'patios' (courtyards) of their homes to the public to participate in the Courtyard Competition. More specifically, they decorate their homes with a multitude of flowers planted in flowerbeds and pots, which are hung on the walls, as well as fountains and trees that captivate all visitors. This tradition dates back to Muslim times and is recognised as an Immaterial Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Without a doubt, this is an event not to be missed
