Local Spanish fairs (ferias)<\/strong><\/p>\n If you didn’t have the chance to participate in the sizzling Malaga fair during August, then you still have the chance to join in with one at the smaller village ones. There’s no excuse as they run through to the middle of October!<\/p>\n In the beginning of\u00a0 September join in the celebrations in Ronda<\/strong> where you have the chance to dance and have fun with the local people. During day time the fair is taking place in the city centre \u2013 and it’s an event that the locals wait all year for!<\/p>\n Or if you were looking for something more local then try the white washed village of Mijas Pueblo<\/strong> where the fair is celebrated from the 7th to the 11th of September.\u00a0 Dates may vary from year to year but it always takes place during the beginning of September month. If you come out later in the month you won’t miss out as from the 26th to the 29th of September we have the fair in Torremolinos<\/strong> with it’s ever popular Romeria (pilgrimage) with horse and oxen drawn carriages.\u00a0 Normally in the past the Romeria goes through the centre and old quarters of Torremolinos, stopping in the pine tree area at the back of the towns waterpark where eating, drinking and being merry are order of the day!<\/p>\n D\u00eda de la Pasa (the day of the Raisin) \u00a0El Borge<\/strong><\/p>\n If you are looking to visit a local village, then El Borge is celebrating the day of the Raisin (D\u00eda de la Pasa) mid of\u00a0 September.\u00a0 This village with only 1000 habitants is world famous for its raisin productions and during this event there will be demonstrations of the traditional skills that are use for harvesting and wine making.\u00a0 – And of course there will be tasting of the raisins and the wine.<\/p>\n El Borge is situated only an hour drive from Malaga airport.
