But what does <strong>insurance excess <\/strong> for car hire mean?<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Insurance excess <\/strong>is simple: when signing the contract, the driver leaves a deposit. If there is any damage or loss to the car during the rental, this deposit will be <strong>exchanged <\/strong>to cover the repair of the damage. This is where the relevance of knowing the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hellehollis.com\/en\/terms-and-conditions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> <strong>Terms and Conditions<\/strong><\/a> lies if you are renting a car in Malaga.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:heading {\"level\":4} --><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How long time does it take to get the excess amount refunded on a car hire?<\/h4>\n<p><!-- \/wp:heading --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Refunds can vary, sometimes taking hours or, in rare cases, several weeks. But why does this happen?<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Helle Hollis<\/strong>, refunds the deposit once we confirm the car has no new damage(and it has been verified that there is no further damage). The client&#8217;s bank processes the refund based on its location and policies, which can cause delays (<em>i.e. a Spanish credit card may receive the refund sooner than an English one<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} --><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"generated-id-3\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Super excess waiver<\/h3>\n<p><!-- \/wp:heading --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The alternative to the excess deposit is the <strong>Super excess waiver<\/strong>. This is a daily insurance amount that varies according to the car group. This policy is <strong>non-refundable, <\/strong>even if you return the car undamaged.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Helle Hollis&#8217; super excess waiver covers <strong>damages to the ca<\/strong>r (which are specified in the Rental Conditions), a <strong>Personal Accident Insurance<\/strong> and a<strong> cancellation insurance<\/strong> (if more than 3 days of rental are left).
