For years Marbella has been a Spanish Holiday destination like no other. It’s got the weather, the beaches, the shops, the people, and the restaurants.<\/p>\n

It’s got just about everything which is why thousands of British, Dutch, Swedish, German and of course Spanish holidaymakers head for Marbella each year.<\/p>\n

The area of Marbella actually stretches from Calahonda to the east to the Spanish Town of San Pedro Alc\u00e1ntara\u00a0in the west. About halfway between these two points is the main town of Marbella.<\/p>\n

Marbella Town itself is a large, cosmopolitan town with a main shopping and commercial street (Ricardo Soriano) running from one end of the town to the other. This street is lined with familiar high street names and with some pretty exclusive jewelers shops.<\/p>\n

If you are fan of shops you should also visit the commercial shopping center La Ca\u00f1ada in the outskirts of Marbella.\u00a0 You will find Desigual, Zara, Mango,\u00a0 Hollister, Springfield and many more.<\/p>\n

The heart of Marbella Town is the Old Town. Here you will find a maze of narrow, cobbled streets lined with art galleries and pavements cafes all leading up to Plaza Los Naranjos (Orange Square) which is the towns main square.<\/p>\n

On the northern side of Plaza Los Naranjos you will find Marbella Town Hall which is home to the council and Mayor of Marbella. This square is a wonderful place to enjoy a coffee or beer and just to watch the world go by.<\/p>\n

The other feature of Marbella is its sea front promenade. This marble tiled promenade runs for about 2 kms and is busy at all times of the day and year.<\/p>\n

There are beaches the whole way along the promenade and there is certainly no shortage of places to stop and grab something to eat or drink. If you do fancy a spot of sun bathing then expect to pay around 5 euros per day for a sunbed and shade.<\/p>\n
