Just a short 20 minute drive from the city of Malaga, the airport is a fourth busiest in Spain and handles twelve million passengers every year. With its temperate climate and short flying time of between two and a half to three hours from the UK, many passengers commute on a weekly basis or come over for a long weekend break. Domestic flights from all over Spain come into this airport.<\/p>\n

\"Malaga<\/a><\/p>\n

In 2014 Malaga airport had over 13 millions passageners arriving to the airport.<\/p>\n

Malaga Airport has three\u00a0terminals,\u00a0even though only terminal\u00a0\u00a02\u00a0 and 3 are\u00a0in use.\u00a0The terminal 3 was inaugurated in 2011 and has an \u00e1rea of 250.000m2.\u00a0 With over 86 check in counters\u00a0 Malaga Airport has capacity of\u00a0 receiving up to 9000 passengers per hour.<\/p>\n

Covered and outdoor short term parking is available outside terminal 2.\u00a0Long term parking (more than 4 days) is in the terminal 1 car park.<\/p>\n

The train station with trains to Malaga and Fuengirola is located opposite terminal 3.<\/p>\n

Airport information desks are in the Arrivals \u00e1rea\u00a0 at terminal\u00a03\u00a0and in Departures in terminal 2 and 3. The staff are multi-lingual and easily identifiable in light green jackets.<\/p>\n

Because the roads are excellent and well signposted in this area it is advisable to hire a car from the airport. The Helle Hollis car hire company is situated just 800m from the airport terminal building. Once you have collected your luggage please exit the arrivals hall in terminal 3\u00a0and follow the signs for the courtesy bus stop. The courtesy bus stop is placed in a covered roadway in front of terminal 2.<\/p>\n
