You can't get flights to Fuengirola as such. You need to fly into one of four different airports and then transfer into the resort.
The easiest and nearest airport to Fuengirola is Malaga International Airport (AGP). This airport is only a 25 minute drive from Fuengirola.
Getting to Fuengirola doesn't have to be a chure. Finding out about public transport services such as trains and busses may become confusing and frustrating and end up becoming quite costly. Using a Fuengirola hire car you can land at the airport, go through customs and take your luggage straight out to your own personal hire vehicle.
From the airport follow the signs to Cadiz / Fuengirola, past the main Helle Hollis Offices; this will lead you onto the large A7 / E15 three lane highway. You need to take the exit off the dual carriageway just after the BMW garage to get onto this road. Helle Hollis have a range of rental cars from Fuengirola that are available for hire.
Once on the E15 / A7 you simply drive along for around 10 minutes before heading down a long hill. At the bottom of the hill the road forks, the two left hand lanes head up onto the toll road and the two right hand lanes head done onto the N340 Costa which will bring you straight past the center of Fuengirola.
You can also transfer from Malaga Airport to Fuengirola by train, bus or of course taxi. A taxi journey form Malaga Airport to Fuengirola will cost somewhere in the region of 25 euros but remember, the taxis can only take up to a maximum of four people including children.

You can also get flights to Granada, Jerez or Gibraltar and although all of these airports are quite a lot further away from Fuengirola than Malaga Airport, they are all within a 90 minute drive and apart from enjoying the drive you might find better flight times or prices.
