Exploring Granada Airport

Granada is a small airport which opened in 1972. It has a single runway and apron which can accommodate up to 25 aircraft.

The bus stop is immediately outside the arrivals area. Unfortunately there is no train service. The taxi rank is also outside the terminal building and as a rough guide on cost you should budget for a charge of about 25 euros to the city centre and 80 euros to the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort. With the remoteness of the area, car hire from Granada airport is a great idea, and a great way to visit the city centre or ski resorts.

There is only one direct flight from the UK London City with British Airways to Granada Airport.  To get a wider choice of flights, we recommend that you fly into Malaga Airport and hire a car from there.  Helle Hollis has its Head Office next to Malaga Airport.

Car parking is available for 450 cars at Granada Airport. The car park is opposite the terminal building with the first half hour offered free of charge and after that you will be charged an hourly rate or 24 hour fee.
