Exploring Cabopino

Cabopino is the perfect holiday destination for relaxing or exploring the Costa Del Sol and Andalucia.

If you are staying in Cabopino you will never be more than 15 minutes walk away from the port which has an excellent selection of restaurants serving a complete range of foods. If you have no car and are looking for car hire then Helle Hollis can help you.

If you drive to the west of Cabopino for five minutes you will come into the town of Marbella which is one of Spain’s most exclusive towns. Shops and restaurants fight for position up and down the main street, Ricardo Soriano and on the long, marble promenade down at the sea front.

Marbella Old Town is also worth a visit especially Plaza Los Naranjos, (Orange Square) where there are plenty of restaurants and cafes offering alfresco dining.

To the east of Cabopino are the larger resorts of Fuengirola, Benalmadena and Torremolinos which all offer some excellent beaches and various theme parks and water parks for the kids. Why not hire a car from Helle Hollis and then head towards the larger resorts to enjoy golden sandy beaches as well as theme parks.

You can drive down to Gibraltar for the day from Cabopino. The drive will take between 45 minutes and an hour depending on the traffic. Our advice if you do go to Gibraltar is to park on the Spanish side of the border and walk through the passport control rather than spending a long time queuing in your car.  And remember to  bring your passports along.

If you are in Cabopino for Christmas it good also be good fun to head up towards Granada and the Sierra Nevada mountain ranges. If you drive up into the mountains you will find Europe’s southern most ski resort at Pradollano. You will generally find snow here between November and March and the drive will take you between 2 and 2 and half hours from Cabopino.
